A truly unique and surprisingly high-quality lens that I regret not using more.
I'm just whittling down my gear a little.
This is version II of the lens, with a 67mm filter and 9 aperture blades.
The 50/0.95 is very dreamy wide open and sharpens up very nicely at 1.4, more so by f2.8.
Barrel has signs of use, nothing unusual, but definitely not new-looking.
Front and rear element have some flaws.
The front has a tiny dot near the center, which I've determined to be a scratch.
I've emphasized this in the photos.
The rear element has some flaws as well, see photos.
These flaws have proven to be only superficial and don't affect image quality.
No mold or fungus, which is my only red flag when buying a used lens.
Clearly not in perfect condition, and priced accordingly.
The lens punches way above its price range and delivers contrasty, saturated and lively images time after time.
Includes caps, case, box and 3rd-party hood.
