#1 is nonsense much of the time. Every pro does not abuse equipment or use it heavily all the time. Many have gear that is for backups or only used once in a while.
From the outside looking in, Nikon does present a fabulous value proposition with the Z5II. For me it hits a sweet spot, as I don’t care about lots of megapixels, but I do like the idea of good autofocus and of playing with shallow DoF on full frame. (I currently shoot Fuji.)
Some of Nikon’s pro lenses are expensive compared to the competition (or at least, that’s the impression I gained when browsing my local camera shop online), but enthusiast lenses like the 1.4 line are pleasingly cheap. I’m hoping to buy a Z5II later this year. (I’ll keep the Fuji kit too.)
