While on a local outing this Merlin just decides to come in and pick this perch near me. Why thank you even though it was an upward shot and mostly backlighting there were some great opportunities to appreciate this visit!

Great set of photos, Karl! They're all excellent! I love the Cardinal. We don't have them out here and I regret somewhat taking them for granted when I lived in Indiana.

2, 4 and 9 for me Karl. Such a sporty bird, small agile and good looking while still being a threat to other smaller prey. Always a fave.
