Picked up a A7RIII and am looking for recommendations for off camera flash setup using a Godox 350 speedlight. Thinking 3 ft TTL cable but am open to suggestions. I do have the remote trigger for the Godox AD200's I use with my Nikon camera. Simple is good here. I know some setups are not very good for accurate TTL.
A Godox transmitter for your Sony would operate your Godox flash too. I do use the extension cables, but mostly for remoting the flash transmitter when the camera is on a high tripod. You would have the option to add other Godox or Flashpoint flashes later too. Flashpoint is a Rebrand of Godox, so the same. The hot shoe extension cables work for getting the flash off the camera, but to me, the Godox transmitter would be the better choice, as you could move the flash most anywhere within 300' of the camera this way. Flexibility in setup is the benefit. I have several Canon cameras and one Fuji. Each has it's own Godox X Pro transmitter, and they all talk the same X Band signals to my Godox flashes. All work the same and are very reliable. I can use any camera with my field kit or with my studio lights and it all works together perfectly, except for operator errors. I do seem to bump the channel selection sometimes. Lights don't work when set on adjacent channels.
I use my old Nikon triggers on my Sony all the time, though you won't get ttl that way.
I typically like to use to for my speed light work, but would rather shoot manual then use a ttl cable.
But as Charlie said you can pick up a godox sony trigger and use it for both your ad200 and v350.
I use Sony mounted V1 and then have a m43 trigger to use the flash off camera when I do macro work with my OM1 ii
