p.1 #1 · Preview brightness when using flash

This is probably not Fuji or GFX specific, but...

I use a GFX 50S II, and occasionally I need an on-camera flash (Godox V1). TTL works fine, but my problem is that the EVF and/or screen goes all dark when the flash has to provide most of the light. Exposure is fine, but I mean, it's almost impossible to compose an image.

There is a setting somewhere in the menus for not "reflecting shooting conditions" or similar, and I think that it works. However, I don't want that when not using flash.
I do use a specific custom bank for flash, but that particular setting seems to be global. Which is a bummer for everything else.

Is there a convenient solution to this?

Yes, you need a "Live View". mode.

On my GFX100S II, I select "Preview Exp/WB in Manual Mode". Note: Do not select what Fuji calls "Natural Live View" as I have found it to be fairly useless. I programmed the correct function into My Menu so that it is quickly accessible, when I am shooting strobes.

I was really frustrated (like you must be), but an AI search provided the solution. On my Sony cameras, since I use strobes so much, I have Live View mapped to a button, but Fuji doesn't seem to provide for that ability.

I don't have my camera in front of me, and I forget where this menu item is located (buried), but you should be able to find it.

EDIT: You can find the function under Screen Settings - Page 2

Thanks! Maybe I could put it in the quick menu, that I seldom need but is at least fast to get to.

I have Preview Exposure thing on the My Menu so it's easy to find. I don't use it often these days (not shooting with flash very often) but when I need it, I really need it
