I'm not shooting as much film as I used to and would like to get a Leica digital (probably Q3 43). The boss (wife) says I can if a few other cameras are sold.
This M2 isn't perfect but in very good condition (didn't give it a 9 because it's 60+ years old). There are a few marks on top that I was able to photograph close up, and the bottom plate has hairline blemishes that were hard to photograph. The paint is clean compared to many I see, with only a few very tiny chips (visible in photos). The vulcanite covering is in excellent condition. There is one pinpoint ding visible just above the rewind lever.
The shutter speeds are good... even the slow ones. The rangefinder patch is clear and bright and has been accurate in the shooting I've done. The self time functions as expected. There is an intact seal that is an upside down "31", but I don't know what it means. I included a tighter shot of that.
If this sounds almost like the M3 I listed, it's because I searched for good copies of both. The price is net to me, and I will cover CONUS ground shipping.
I tried to think of everything I needed to note for an older camera like this, but feel free to ask questions.
