I bought this to replace my 24-70mm f/2.8 workhorse, hoping to gain the extra reach while saving weight for event work. However, I quickly realized that for my specific night-time event workflow, I miss the f/2.8 aperture. I’d rather go back to the heavier setup than rely on on-camera flash all night.
