p.1 #1 · Mix from Sac NWR visit (eagles, snow geese, etc)

I visited the Sacramento NWR (northern California) yesterday and, while some thick fog came and went, I was able to spend a little time with a decent variety of birds. Here's a few of my favorites, thanks for looking.

The second of the Juvie eagle is my pick Mark. I like the angle of the bird and the clouds in the background.

I would be going back to this place on a regular basis Mark! What a great variety and good use of light and fog on your part. Loving the Stilt on the run!!

Thank you Karl! Sac NWR is about 90 minutes from my house, so I usually go about once per month during the winter when the migrating birds are there. I have a couple of closer places that I go to more frequently, but they have no eagles. Once the migrating birds go back north (late March'ish), most of the water goes away and there's not many birds there until the next autumn.
