That's a terrible price for the Zf both ways (compared to older sales)
This is the first refurb sale where the ZR is available, $300 off.
And yet it's $250 less than buying new. 🤷♂️ Just letting people know that they're better off getting the 40 than buying the body only. I have no interest in it either way and have no idea what past prices were.

I wasn't bashing your post, but this is still about $300-500 more than older sales, lens depending. A clean used 40/2 kit here is still about $200 less than the refurb kit.

I was shocked at how high these prices are.
You're 100% right. Because the Zf used to be $1399 on these refurb sales.

I'd been waffling on the z7ii at 1599. At 1440 they can have my money. Order placed.
Congrats! I tried to buy but getting an error message that says I have to call, I think because I’m trying to ship to a campground in FL instead of my home address. I’m still on the fence actually, because I just got the Z8 and it is pretty sweet. But $1500 taxed on that Z7II is definitely a bargain and besides landscape work I used to enjoy it as a fun walkaround cam.

I had a couple of errors too when I was trying to order from my phone, one the credit card company declined as fraud and another time it gave the call this 800 number error. I think because I was trying from a different IP? I tried with a different credit card when I got home and it worked after that.
I had the z8 and I liked it, but tried the z7ii when I was skiing and just really enjoyed it. It doesn't seem that big of a difference on paper but for me i just didn't enjoy walking around with it as much or using it for more active hobbies. Switched to m43 for my airshow and occasional wildlife set up so z8 AF capabilities would be redundant so hoping this rounds out my kit for a while.
I got him a D5600 a few months back because "it's what we use in school". The first time I took him out shooting, it was so painful for me to realize he doesn't use the viewfinder, and that camera is painfully slow to shoot photos with in live view. He had never expressed any interest in photo/video until last school year, so I'm trying to not force things on him- but I'm happy to encourage a hobby that overlaps with mine!
Of course this comes up like 3 days after I buy a new Z5 II.
I got one new with the $250 rebate...and I checked the refurb store before buying, and they were out of stock on body only.
I suppose I could have bought a refurb yesterday and returned the new one, but honestly, I'll just keep it and enjoy the extra 6 months of warranty. (especially since my Z6 III needed a warranty repair with 3 weeks remaining on it). Even at $1595, it's a great deal...$1200 is crazy good for such an insanely capable camera.
