I made a post in this forum last night about a decision I was making and the reasons behind it. Today I can find no trace of the post. It seems to have been deleted. I didn’t get any notice that it was removed. Just silent deletion.
Was this something done by a moderator and if so, can I get a reason?
I read through your thread. It was political which never leads to a good thing on a forum. I can see Fred getting ahead of the ball and deleting the thread before it exploded.
Is there Anywhere on the forum that lists what sort of posts are or aren’t allowed? If there’s rules in place I’d like to know what they are.
If the intent is to prevent arguments and people being petty, snarky, and mocking each other, there’s plenty of threads here in violation of that, like many of the 100+ pages of the 3d pop thread.

I don't believe so but if you click on the "Report" box, it reveals the issues Fred would like to prevent. See below.
Yes there are some posts that "get by" by not really inflaming members into a huge rant. Fred usually "locks" threads that start to get "problematic."

Then read the rules you agreed to when you started this thread by clicking on "Send".
I just read the User Agreement and Terms. There is not much guidance IMO on what would be considered permissible or not permissible posting. These two sections seem relevant:
User will not "Post false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libelous content;"
and:
"We may, in our sole discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate our services and user accounts, prohibit access to our site, services, applications, and tools, and content, delay or remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep users from using our sites, services, applications, or tools, if we think that they are creating problems or possible legal liabilities, infringing the intellectual property rights of third parties, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies (for example, and without limitation, manipulating Feedback, circumventing temporary or permanent suspensions or harassing users). We also reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for a period of months, or to modify or discontinue the Fredmiranda.com site, services, applications, or tools."

Geez, what do you need, a lawyer?
This is a photography forum for discussing photography without spam, advertising messages, illegal content, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. Don't discuss religion, politics, or other non-photographic topics. No Trump, Gaza, etc., etc.

Pretty simple and reasonable.
Yet, here's a couple of threads with your posts referring to Trump:
I’m quite opinionated regarding this topic. Politics can ruin a photo forum. A certain German forum might be a good example of this. I’ll happily have Fred delete my post when I cross that boundary.
Recently, Fred stepped in early to steer a thread in a positive direction vs a political direction. I think that this is more his style vs just deleting content.
