I have a Sony A1 ii camera, a Sony F60rm2 flash. Godox X3s transmitter and a Godox X1R-s receiver. The transmitter is on the camera and the receiver is under the flash. The channel, group and id are set correctly.
When the flash is on and the receiver is off, I can switch the wireless mode on and off on the flash. If I also turn on the receiver, the wireless mode is disabled. So the flash responds to the receiver.
When I take a photo, the status light on the receiver goes on and off. So the receiver responds to the transmitter. However, the flash does not fire.
Anyone have an idea what else I can do?
I had no idea that the Godox trigger is supposed to be compatible with the Sony flash. It doesn't make sense, to me. My X3-S only works with my Godox/Flashpoint strobes.

Right on the money, Jeff! OEM Sony flash units are not compatible with Godox flash trigger.

The Godox trigger is indeed not compatible with the Sony flash. That's why there is a Godox receiver (XR1-s) underneath the flash.
Are you shooting in fully manual flash mode on all components? For sure it won't work if anything in the system is set to TTL, HSS mor any other mode besides fully manual. In manual mode it should fire as long as the flash is center pin triggered.
You need to set the flash setting in the camera menu to wireless flash, if you’re using a wireless trigger. But sounds like you have other issues. I would try dismounting the flash from the receiver and test communication between the trigger and the receiver make sure those two are communicating properly.

Please turn off the Sony flash’s wireless mode, as we are not using Sony’s wireless flash protocol. The flash is being triggered purely via the hot shoe using Godox’s protocols.
Have you any old film flashes to try just add batteries and swap for sony flash, test with receiver button. then try to take a picture.
I had this working with an old flash, once its working, swap to clever flash, Look into the flash settings and try on camera or similar.
