A lovely set Karl. The soft light makes it much easier to photograph birds like the kingfisher helping prevent blowing out the whites. You took great advantage of this. the third is my pick. That cardinal is glowing!

I like the "sporty" downturned angle of the little chirper in the first shot, and the up-close detail on the last 3. Looks like you are learning how to squeeze great IQ out of that new lens even in low light.

You certainly have a way with the little birds among the twigs ! W. Love the sparrows and color pallet.
Bright spot of red against the muted colors, just beautiful. Beautiful set. One forgets how lovely the sea gulls eyes are.
