p.1 #1 · I'd like to say it was a purrrfect year....
but, for many reasons, I decided to stay off social media of all types in 2025. But now and again I end up here and am always happy when I do and see the wonderful images you all produce. 2025 was an interesting year in many respects, some of it good and others pretty awful. I am fortunate to have a great and supportive family and some exceptional friends (you know who you are) that got me through the year.
Hope you enjoy a few from the past year and wish everyone a happy, HEALTHY, and productive 2026.
Eric

Well looks like your year was not cat-astrophic in any way shape or form
You really have your way with all the furry long tail species! Happy for you that you had such a great 2025, sorry to hear you are not 'social' anymore, many aren't
Tickled that you come here to refresh and share my friend! Not sure how that bird got in the picture but you did it justice My gosh that is some water moving, can't imagine the rush of being there and feeling the power of it. Love what you did with #6

Superb set of incredible images Eric. #10 is a killer shot as are of them, but 10 stands out for me.
Thank you Louie, it’s kind of funny that the normal colored leopards are an afterthought at Laikipia. They are so beautiful though and was fortunate to get that one at night.

Wonderful set Eric, looks like a great year to me from my 30,000 foot view, and from your pic's. Wonderful set of images to commemorate the year gone by.
On the social media absence... I hear you loud and clear Eric, and I did a very similar thing a few years back, I locked down all my social media accounts, unfriended everyone I didn't know personally, turned off all the feeds and then just stopped checking them unless I got an email saying I needed to respond to someone directly. But for some weird reason, I never considered the forum as true social media... I guess it is because people keep the side-bar stuff to a minimum here and there are no news feeds to contend with other than photo related news. (that or my AdBlock plus is working so well that I'm oblivious, but that still gives same wanted result, heh) Hang in there, I hope 2026 is a banner year for you!

Thanks Eric….social media is a dopamine addiction that’s hard to kick. Cold turkey and time are what’s needed.

so sorry that I am late to the party, Eric. Dealing with some family issues annually like every year.
These are delectable. It is such a joy to see your skills and perspective and to meet you in Kenya. Wow, what a joy and surprise it was.

Ok Eric Seems like you have also been absent from this forum for a bit! You have made a spectacular return I must say and yes not a bad year for you!

Hey Mike! Thanks so much. Yes, I've stepped back from all social media by and large. I might dip my toes in the water just a little bit in the coming months.

Hey KD....thanks....so weird to be in the middle of the African savanna and unexpectedly hear your name called from a neighboring vehicle. So happy to have seen you and shared the Giza experience.
Your images were outstanding and you TOW win so well deserved.
