The festival of Holi is a very colorful time in India. I tried hard not to get my camera plastered with paint. Sometimes, as a foreigner, we would get extra attention. This girl really caught my eye. Taken in Vrindavan, 2024.

A very vibrant colorful composition Charles!
Is it actually paint or vegetable colored dyes?
Hope the paint came off without the skin also!
Dan
Thanks, Dan. I think they use both. The hotels freak out when guests come back to their rooms with paint dripping off their clothes. Even the monkeys get in on the action. I saw a few with painted bums when they sat down on paint puddles by the side of the road. It is a pretty wild time!
I remember Holi as lots of fun. People let loose with the cannabis-laden sweets and teas helping out, but I don't remember any over-the-top behavior by anybody, except with the colors. Lots of good memories!

Chris, I think it depends on who you meet. Sometimes, the teens get rowdy. It is their chance to let off steam for a day.
