Nice, Dan. Snow always adds a nice element. When I lived where we got snow once in a while, while everyone else holed up inside, I'd venture out looking for barns, etc.

Well we have had those kind of winters here in Mary-land. We have dodged major "snow events" so far this year which is fine with me. I love the cold but snow is a hassle for a 79 year olde.
Thanks Doug!

This is a great picture, Dan, and the snowflakes give it an additional quality.
As I type this, here in Colorado, we are learning that 'La Nina' years are real and all our storms (which we depend on entirely for spring runoff) our mountains are not the snow-capped peaks we're famous for. If something doesn't change we're in for a rough summer.

Thank you Al!
Mary-land had "thee" hottest summer on record in 2025. We had "thee" coldest December in many years. Parts of the state have had drought issues in 2025.
While I won't discredit climate change caused by environmental issues, I believe that our planet may be undergoing a planet weather change(interglacials) to the warmer end of the spectrum.
Thanks for your encouragement Al!

Great capture Dan, any back-story on the name?
Yes there is Bob!
I have "seen" this barn since I was a young boy through to my early college days catching a ride to the college dorm on Sunday nights.
This barn sits on the border of 4 Maryland counties, Montgomery, Frederick, Howard and Carroll Counties.
The original owner's grandson was my father's boss for a few years. There is a pond on the property and we would go fishing there and when the winters were very cold, ice skating.
Property is now owned by an "outsider".
Thanks for asking Bob!

The last 2 embedded posts were just for some context from different times/seasons
