On a warm and fogy winter day here in New York City I decided to take a walk at Jones Beach to see what was doing. I was surprised to see how few sand pipers were around and in fact there were hardly any birds including gulls. I took a few flight images and they were very tricky due to the low visibility of about 1/4 mile and sometimes as low as 100 feet.
Have a Happy New Year!
