p.1 #1 · A walk along the beach

On a warm and fogy winter day here in New York City I decided to take a walk at Jones Beach to see what was doing. I was surprised to see how few sand pipers were around and in fact there were hardly any birds including gulls. I took a few flight images and they were very tricky due to the low visibility of about 1/4 mile and sometimes as low as 100 feet.

Have a Happy New Year!

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris

Hello Morris! I can almost feel how cold it is there, thanks for the kind comments on my work. Thank you for posting your shots too!

Hey Morris. Looks like an exercise in solitude. Sometimes good for the soul.

Happy new years

That last one kind of nicely hangs with me Morris, sums up our area now, gonna be gloomy for a while.

I like that Sanderling on the beach, love what the shell fragments and coarse sand brings in warmth and textures.
