White Sands is a place of extreme beauty. If you like curves, paturns, and mountains this is the place for you. My wife and I slipped this stop in on our trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife refuge and we are glad we did. We visited the park one afternoon and then a full day. Entry to the park was limited to 9am unless you had a wilderness camping permit which we did not and while I thought the light might be a problem, the low winter sun angle cast lovely shadows to help show off the shapes of the dunes. This will be my first of a few posts from this park.
