I just received and installed the Falcam Cage for my X2D II. I must say it's very nice. Access to doors on the side is easy. I have an Air Tag in the 'secret' compartment. I can use the strap lugs of the cage rather than the funky Hasselblad lugs. The L-bracket is easily removed and installed. Color matches the camera quite nicely too.
Nice, looks much better than the Leofoto one I picked up. Can’t use doors, meaning can’t keep it on for extended periods of time. This looks like a much better design

Personally, I liked to be able to extend the vertical (left) side so that it becomes a grip. I use the RSS and am happy with that.
You can do that quite easily with this cage or you can leave the left vertical side off entirely.

The strap attachment and AirTag make this a worthy addition, especially if you are attaching heavy zoom lenses. It doesn’t look like it will be readily available until the end of the month.

Can I ask-
Why do you want a cage on the Hassy? This is more of a video rig style cage. What use does it give you? If you just like it thats fine just trying to understand why you would take a camera like this and slap a cage on it.

Cheers!!!!
It gives a little (I mean a little) more protection from just an L-bracket. It also gives me an alternative to the Hasselblad strap lugs which gives my Peak Design anchors a better attachment point. The frame bar that un-latches to give access to the CF door is a much better tool-less design than the Peipro and other L-brackets (see pic below). The L-bracket for vertical shooting is easily removed (saving weight) to be replaced by a finished blank and finally, fitting an air tag in the base of the frame, is something I also like.
Last but not least, I do think it looks cool and doesn't add hardly any additional weight compared to a traditional L-bracket.
wow it even has a focal plane marker, and it seems to fit X2D as well. dont usually uses cages on stills cams due to bulk but this one looks pretty elegant
This is really well done. Great fit and finish and comfortable to hold. My only comment is that the strap openings are less wide than what you find on other slot strap cameras and I could not get a flat leather strap to go through as the strap end was wider(not thickness but the width of the strap) than the slot. Perhaps there is a trick or I need to try harder.
Maybe someone has some advise for me.
I messaged them about shipping, tariffs, duties, etc. but no reply yet (haven't ordered). I see the cage on BH and Amazon for pre order as well. But if their website ETA of March delivery is correct then I'm going to just wait until CP+ in Japan end of Feb because they have a booth there.
