p.1 #2 · Sold: Apple Studio Display - Nano-Texture, Tilt & Height Adjustable - BNIB
could be interested, but if it still boxed, how do you know it is in good working condition (e.g it could have been damaged in transit)? isnt the buyer taking all the risk the item could be DOA? any applecare?

This was purchased new by me, and the shipping box is from apple. What you say can be applied to basically anything that is sold as new and sealed from factory. Apple is one of those manufacturers that makes the outer box as part of the packaging, as shown by the label(and the pull tab) so there's less of a reason to break into it. I can open the outer box for someone whos seriously interested, but otherwise don't want to needlessly.
Anyways, if there's some issue with the unit itself, and the original purchaser is required to get support from apple, I have no problem in assisting for that. I've had many apple products but haven't gone through this process so I'm not sure whats required.
I didn't purchase applecare on top of the unit when I purchased it. From the devices I used, it asks me to add applecare after I added the device to my account.
