A "Potomac" sycamore tree
Over 125 ft tall and over 200 years old. The "hole" on the trees right was due to tree trimming of power and phone cables prior to those cables being buried.

Very nice Dan.
A few unexpected opportunities from my walk around in High River.

More fun with what looks to be a mated pair of Red Tailed Hawks today. I saw two flying back and forth, and briefly together down by the creek. I couldn't get them together, but here's a couple of shots that I liked.
I put a challenge to myself. Took 4 different cameras each with 1 lens with a FOV of 45-50mm. The plan start with 1 camera shoot 7 different subjects, each subject could be shot from various angles then move onto the next camera and 7 new subjects. Lots of walking. The R5 with Otus 50mm lens was the 2nd camera used.
The M8, M9M and GFX pictures will be posted on their appropriate thread.

Thanks Dan. That spot is usually filled with youth, on this day only a street person whom I didn't want to disturb so I went to the north side that had a barrier thus they couldn't see me. The interesting thing of the walk was although I have seen some of the subjects before on this day I saw many new things I never photographed before. On the GFX thread there is a set of 5 murals I never saw before but could only get 4 in the image due to shooting a 50mm FOV. It was a fun day of walking around shooting with a different mindset based on the cameras used. Though this morning I am feeling it. A lot of weight to lug around while walking several miles.

I understand the "walking versus exhaustion" problem Robert! I am 79 and it "hurts" sometimes. But I do enjoy the walking and I have found many "hidden treasures" walking in the local town.
Why does my images look sharp, clean and crisp on my monitor but look like crap when I upload to FM?
I hear you and I see the same thing when use the FM upload feature. It's almost discouraging to post via the FM upload feature due to the downsized little 1MB files that look very soft compared to the full res images posted by others that are linked from different hosts. There's a night and day difference to how they look on a nice display. I feel like all my images look like soft little thumbnails after they're uploaded here, so you are not alone.
