But minutes before I got the Owl shot, I got this Red Tailed Hawk with it's squirrel kill. After I got back in the house, the Owl chased away the Hawk (which took its squirrel with it) and I was able to get the previous photo.
"Chilling" Robert!
This gave "goosebumps/chills" upon viewing!
It has been frigid here in Mary-land so far and the local mountain woods are full of frozen water!
Well done! All posts nice and crisp!

Thanks Dan,.
We just went through a cold spell, 5 days of warmer weather so I am getting out everyday. Taking both the R5(my R5 MKII gets no love) and GFX. Today's destination was two sandstone schools and had a couple of side trips in the area.

The last sandstone school built in Calgary, Balmoral School. Construction of the center section was built in 1913-1914. For some reason someone or some group decided to plant a row of trees leading to the front door. Picnic tables are also under each tree.
A 10-20mm lens might be possible to get a full front direct shot.

I spoiled a couple of young kids' fun as they came with their scooters but backed away when I was photographing. The sign says no skateboarding, no scooters no rollerblading. I never said anything but when I walked by them to leave they headed that way.

Guessing this is near Santa Fe, but it reminds me a lot of the area around the Organ Mountains when I was there a few years ago. Love the colors!
Thanks, yes it's close to Santa Fe, we call it country living 20 mins from the Plaza...it's at the edge of a small community outside the city, about 15 miles from downtown.

Eldorado? I've been over in that area a couple of times. Been to Santa Fe at least 10 times or so. One of my favorite areas to visit.

These are wonderful! Sharp, crisp and very creative! I love wall murals and yours is super!
The "saddle dome" posed as a huge "smile" on the background buildings as a "face".
The sandstone buildings are equally impressive. I have a few around me. Sandstone and and another "rock" are plentiful here. They were used in the 1700's era town near me and a freedman, "Boss Hammond", paid for his family's freedom with the Sams Creek stone he quarried and carved himself.
