I happened to glance at my neighbor's yard and spotted one of our coyotes this afternoon and ended up getting a 10 minute photo session. Really happy with how these turned out, especially the first one.

I like the dog park with the mural in the background. It's groovy.
With snow on the ground it brings much color to the park!
Thanks again"bh"!

The advantage of living in the flight path of two major airports is that sometimes unusual birds show up. And I swear the neighborhood Superb Owl also made an appearance on the Air Force's practice day, looking on what all the commotion is about.
I swear you can't see any of the sensor crap at f8 and below.

Went for a walk with the warm weather here in Calgary,Hoping to find some open water in Fish Creek to take a few shots of ducks and geese. Alas found these instead but the biggest surprise was the 3rd shot. This is not normal, we don't see these in February in Calgary, never. it was walking along the sidewalk as I was walking back home.
I tend to view these close cropped images as "macro-ish". So close crop is what you want. I use my 400mmf5.6 as such also. The bokeh is always nice.
