Question: On the SL2-S, multi-shot mode tapped out a 1 sec exposure max. Made long exposures a no-go for multi-shot. Does anyone know what the max exposure time is for multi-shot on the SL3 or the SL3-S?
With longer exposures, the chance of multishot artifacts increases a lot.

Understood. But, I'm thinking that for an 8s exposure, there's not likely to be many multi-shot artifacts. Point being that such elements that are "rock solid" will be rock solid. Other stuff ... is likely desired to a motion blur anyway, so artifacts aren't likely major concern for those, either.
Although, I'm sure there will be some use cases where artifacts are apparent.

Yes, that is true. It is probably also better to run long exposures with motion artifact removal turned off, since IQ diminishes wherever it is applied.
-The warning message displayed upon power-up of the camera in which a BP-SCL4 rechargeable battery is used, was removed.
-Pictures taken in portrait format will now be displayed in full screen view.
-A menu option was added, in which focus peaking will be displayed only when focusing is done manually via the MF focus ring.
-The currently selected AF mode will now be displayed in the form of an additional icon in the upper status bar.
-In AF mode, Tracking will display the frame in the color of the respective detection status. Tracking will remain inactive when no person or animal is detected; green markers signify focus.
Troubleshooting
-An issue occurring in user profiles was remedied: The camera would sometimes freeze when switching from a profile with Leica FOTOS = Off to a profile with Leica FOTOS On. This behavior was corrected.
-The color matrixes stored in DNG files were updated. As a result, color rendering in third party software using these matrixes for color presets is now improved.
