As always, this thread delivers wonderful images, and an ongoing source of inspiration for the year to come.
Thank you all!
Here are my contributions. I feel I took lots of good photos this year, but hardly any great ones.
The last one is taken with my iphone. I wanted to remind myself of a fantastic skitouring trip. I still can't believe I didn't take out my A7R5 with the 70-200 GM2 from the backpack for this...perhaps I was too tired from the tour, perhaps I was too much in the moment.
The first one has its own story. That was the third or fourth time that I visited this place (on two different trips) and I finally found a good place from which to photograph the lighthouse and the road leading to it...and then the light cooperated.
Perhaps it was the delayed result of the "offering" I made on my first visit there... a 100-400 GM2 that fell out of my backpack and died

I very rarely share pictures here. I should, but somehow I don't. So, let's make an exception to that. Here are my five pictures from this year. Who knows what would be the best, but I figured I'll just post something that I've enjoyed myself during the year.

I took far too few personal pictures this year. Planning on changing that.
Most of my favs this year turned out to be black and white...
Gotta love it when a panning shot works out that well.
You should post that in the 3D thread and ask if your lens wins.
Superb images! You truly have a great photographic eye

Fast forward 7 months and I took my favorite image from my Vietnam trip with that camera. I'm not much of a street shooter, but very happy with this one:
Sticking with Nikon, the D700 is still going strong. This one was from a beautiful autumn morning, not too far from home: Isar x D700 by Felix, auf Flickr
And lastly a *very* recent image, taken yesterday. Maybe my perception is biased as it's too fresh, but I like the colors and the complexity, balance and graphical nature of it. Nikon Zf again:

Kalainen, there are many, many wonderful photos in this thread, and your five are amongst those that speak to me the most. Superb.
(Please share more).
Thanks for the kind words Cedric! Loving your set as well. You wrote you took many good pictures, but not so many great ones. I would politely disagree, you have great pictures there for sure. Also, I checked your website: https://cedricpopa.zenfolio.com/ Very nice site with even more great pictures.

I am in awe of the creativity and variety that is posted here. Such a visual and inspirational treat . I didn't take many photos this year . This thread spurs me to do more next year.
