This is a blue heron and great egret rookery in the Horicon Marsh, south central Wisconsin. I shot it quite a few years ago but never scanned any of the frames, probably because I also shot lots of Kodachrome at the same time and decided to go with the color. It always kind of surprised me that the herons and egrets nested in such close proximity and seemed to get along just fine.
This was shot on Tri-X with a Nikon F2as and 300mm F2.8
