p.1 #1 · Two Places at Once - Me, but not Taken by Me
This image was not taken by me - but is of me... this was taken in the summer from the Rigi webcam (originally in color) while I was paragliding. I had just started and the timing with the camera (I think it makes captures every 20 minutes or so) managed to catch me after launch and as I went to see if there was any lift on the other side of the mountain station of the gondola. The camera pans 360º and moves clockwise, or in this image from left to right.
In the valley is the village of Goldau, and across from me (when I'm on the left of the frame) is the Gnippen and Wildspitz, a mountain that buried the village in 1806 - 40 million cubic meters of materials buried the town destroying 111 homes, 220 barn ands 2 churches with 457 confirmed deaths. Parts of the debris fields were 30-70 meters high.
