Can any current or former SL2-s users give me some camera strap advice?
I am curious not about which strap to use, but about which strap connection method to use? The SL2-s's strap lugs are longer and more slot-shaped than the split-ring lugs I have used in the past.
What method do you use to connect your camera strap? Peak Design anchors?
Gaston who owns OwlCrown a Leica accessories manufacturer makes excellent and unique straps designed just for SL cameras. Contact him and he will guide you to a great solution.
Over my 40 years as a working photographer, I've tried all the cool, expensive new straps when they come out. They all have baggage I don't like - heavy, too thick to wrap around the camera, expensive..... Now, all I use are comfortable, flexible, cheap, rope straps. They allow you to the knots in them to adjust length or convert (temporarily) into a wrist strap or..You can also have different colors for different bodies........ How they thread through a lug is immaterial as they work with any camera. I gave up being a camera-strap snob years ago and now use only what works in every situation without excessive bulk, weight, cost......
