Red-breasted Merganser are one of the fastest ducks flying at about 80 MPH / 130 KPH making them a great subject for long exposure pan shots. The background is trees on the north side of the West Pond at Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge at about peak fall color.

Love the painterly look, I like the slight showing of water at the bottom but not so much the sky at the top on this one. A nice blur image
