These photos were taken at the end of an absolutely stunning day here in New York City. I stayed at the East Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge till I could not focus enjoying the air cooling down and the sweet light of the afterglow which was used for the first two photos. The last was taken when it was quite dark and I was starting to lose color vision. The sparkle in the water was created by reflections of the moon on ripples.
