Nice group of shots John, really like the shading and spotlighting on the first shot with his snack.
Eric
Thanks Eric. He was in a canal with thick growth on my side. This made the whole area he was in dark except for a little opening. He would fish and as soon as he caught something would turn through the light and put his back towards me. I wanted to get him swallowing the fish but he wouldn't cooperate. Thanks for looking.
Lovely compositions John. Possibly you can brighten the head of the GBH a bit more for the first. The natural framing of the second is real nice as is getting the pair together. The duck in the bright spot of 3 and 4 is real nice highlighting the subject. It's not working as well for 5, possibly the duck needs to be a bit brighter. 6 is real nice with the fall background. Nice image of the yellow legs. Lovely flower image to end the lovely set.
These are really wonderful images but #6 for me steals the show! That is absolutely a wonderful image of the GBH that will make a nice print!
The dainty flowers are lovely with a nice pick for your focal point on this grouping

Thanks Morris. Appreciate you looking and the suggestion and detailed comments. I was worried some might think # 6 was too dark. Thanks for all the feedback.
Thanks Douglas. Wood ducks and fall just go together .

I won't critique every shot, since that is for the Critique Forum.

Nice series, John!
No. 6 is my favorite. Nice work as always.
Greg
Greatly appreciate your kind words Greg. I was leaving the park for the evening and that GBH was just posing waiting for someone to snap his pic. Last shot of the evening

The Wood duckies all look great to me.
Karl
Thanks Karl. Number 6 seems to be popular, just a last minute grab on the way out from S.R. one evening. Never dreamed it would be most everyones pick.
By the way when you see a floral in my posts. That I learned from you. Beauty is everywhere you just have to open your mind as well as your eyes.
