The dead become undead and the extinct come back to life only in museums. For this reason, a fossil makes an ideal subject for this week's challenge.

The photo is the fossil of a skull, of what is commonly known as saber-toothed cat, that have gone extinct about 10,000 years ago.

Gave the photo a dusty golden tint in post to represent the ageing of the fossil.
