According to LeicaRumors.com, a new Leica Q3 Monochrom will be release in October 2025:
"A new Leica Q3 Monochrom camera is rumored to be announced next month (October 2025). Most likely, this will be a 28mm lens version, but we could also see a 43mm Monochrom version later (maybe in 2026). I believe Leica will release both focal lengths for the Monochrom line."
But, I could see it replacing my M246 and three lenses for a smaller carry ... from the .02 that the MP crop's bring me close to the 24MP of the M246. Kind of a hmmm, Q2 + M246 = Q3 Mono thing, for me.
Although, if the price is around (or higher than) the X2D II, it's a tough pill for me to decide how to mix / match it in my future bag. It might be more of a down the road vs. early adopter for me, but it certainly is an intriguing thought (and Q3 43 Mono prospects).

It’s interesting this question hasn’t generated more commentary. There are tons of speculative discussions on the EVF M camera.
I think the reason is that the Leica EVF M is an entirely new type of product. With the monochrom Q, we know what we are getting. We know the body style, the lens or lenses, and even the sensor has been seen in a monochrom version in the M.
So the Leica EVF M retains the sense of novelty and curiosity that drives speculation on forums like this.
Anyone know if they can implement the new autofocus from the Q3 on a monochrom sensor without the color filter array? Seems like you would need that for phase-detect. Love the idea of a Q2M with usb-c charging and better AF.

Just putting it out there, if anyone has a Q2M they are considering selling, I'm very interested for a project I have going in PA.
Can you wait 30-45 days? If you can I think you'll see price probably drop at least 10% when the new one is announced as people compete to offload these..
