Good finds, looks like the bait works
These appear too bright to me. Also if you can rotate the image to straighten the fence rail it might be more pleasing to the eyeDetails are there, drop the exposure and more detail and color comes with it!

I agree with what Karl said. You might want to try under exposing a little and then bring the shadows up to protect the highlights. Two nice finds and it's great to see the common birds.

Thank you Morris. I am keeping Karl's advise on exposure. However, both photos were shot a Exp. -0.3 which is my usual setting. As far as straightening the top of the board walk handrail is concerned, I tried that. However the result is that the birds will now look up. The hand rails are shot at an angle from the right resulting in a perceived downward angle. If you could see the bars of the guard rails, they are all vertical and so are the birds.
