This year was an abbreviated backpack trip to the Winds (both my dog & I aren't getting any younger & I was hit by a car as I was walking down the sidewalk in late January). The Sweetwater trailhead is about as far south as you can get and is definitely not a popular one despite being on the CDT. The trail starts out crossing a creek on a log with a flattened, crosshatched surface that takes the place of the old bridge. The next bridge, 6 or 7 miles further was not in much better shape, but the marsh it spans was dry. After 2 days, we reached the ridge overlooking Upper Deep Creek Lake and Little El Capitan. The plan was to do a high, off-trail traverse starting at 11,000', climbing 2400' in 2 miles, but I was saved from that as that morning was socked in and graupel made me retreat to the tent for breakfast.
I like all three images very much. You have a nice eye for light and composition.
It really sucks to be hit by a car, but especially when you're on a sidewalk!! Glad you're okay.

Bigger please! Beautiful and to hear you had a "4 legged child" with you endears you to me even more!
Yeah cars and people don't mix to well. I hope you are ok and the "pup" is safe.
These are great compositions Monika!

Thanks, Dan. I was sticking to the recommended 800px max on the long side so people don't have to scroll to see the whole thing, especially with the pano. What size do you recommend instead?
The pup did better than I, with her wanting to chase sticks on the last day out and me not sure I could throw them. I did a couple underhead tosses which generally ended up hung up in trees........oh, well, what can you expect with trekking poles in hand?

I did not mean to imply that your size was a "negative". I like landscapes large. While initially I view images on Suzanne's MacBook Pro16", I like the image on my 27 or 30" calibrated monitor to be large. My initial reply is coming after reviewing your images on her computer. Now I am on my 30" and wow!
I Save my Images as 1000 px long side, 72Res. for FM posts. While the "contests" only allow 800 long side, in a post I go a bit bigger.
Glad "the pup" was a good companion.
Dan
Monica,
You should be able to size at 1200 to 1400 pixels on the long side and still have the full image show without scrolling. 800 pixel length looks fine on a phone screen but 1400 will look far better on a computer monitor.

Sweet captures of a beautiful area! Even the name 'Wind River' has a romantic feeling to it. So sorry about somebody hitting you...I'm glad you are okay and I hope the person was cited (jail time?)
Thanks, Al. I don't know if the driver was cited. Initially, I declined police (and ER) as I thought I was mostly OK, though obviously concussed & not thinking straight. The claim is still a work in progress.
