p.1 #1 · Cold in Chile with Cougars, Condors, Caracaras....
Warning - Gore/blood in the some pics
I had dreamt of photographing pumas in the snow ever since I was there last year in their summer. With that in mind, was there in mid July for 6 days hoping for snow. Due to delay in my flight, I lost the first day. One day was non productive due to rain and no sighting. Only 1 day had some snow and another day had partial snow. We did the best we could. Maybe another time, I hope we go there with significant snow. being on the ground with them is a thrill unlike any other that I have experienced in wildlife photography. I must thank my friend Eric from FM who introduced me to this heaven on earth

Wonderful set of images. Sorry to hear of your setbacks this trip, but you came away with some great images despite of them. Hopefully you will have better luck next time.
p.1 #5 · Cold in Chile with Cougars, Condors, Caracaras....
Some beautiful images, and the experience being in close proximity must be truly amazing. Your bird images really nice as well. Why is it that in less than perfect weather you seem to get stunning images.

Wonderful photos KD. You want more snow? Then you might want to think what that might mean for delays and problems getting around. Is it worth dealing with, yes!

Thanks John
I typically have some issues when flying to South America

Just magnificient photography brother!
I would be so excited at seeing all these majestic creatures, I would need a change of undewear!!
Everything is dead on exposure wise and the detail in the creatures is wonderful. Since you had snow, I envy you the cold temps. It has been brutal here!
It is great to see condors again. They were becoming extinct I believe!
Yes travel anywhere is getting to be a real pain!
Was this a group trip?
Again most excellent photography brother!
