From a session I did with a tattoo artist named Jack Rattlebones in Kankakee Illinois last week. He wanted editorial style portraits, and some photos to show his girlfriend. In exchange I got a new tattoo.
Canon 5D MKIII, Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 II lens, lit using natural light and a reflector.

Your photography continues to show that it is NOT the tools that make the photograph but the photographer!!!

Thank you so much Derek! Regarding the post processing, I can be pretty hard on myself and often struggle to be satisfied particularly with my color grading, so it's very gratifying to hear this.

I agree 100% with Derek Daniel. Your postprocessing is the least of any worry you might have!
Everything you excecute with the camera comes out perfect IMHO.

Thank you so much Dan! I like to think I make the most of what I have; that said, the 5DIII and 85mm f/1.2 II are no slouches. I haven't tried the 5DIII's video capabilities yet, but I hope to.

Funnily enough I have received a lot of negativity on other sites in response to that particular image. I'm accused of glamorizing cigarette smoking. That said, I take portraits of people and feel like part of my job is showcasing certain things about those people, including but not limited to their interests, vices, and habits. Folks get upset about that, but I see a reaction like that as being a signifier for a succesful portrait.
