There's definitely a learning curve to this lens and hand-held shooting for me. Also being new to Sony I've had to figure out Sony's AF settings and better configure my setup. Fortunately I am making progress. I knew from testing my lens was sharp, but the AF was iffy. Now it's getting far better, stickier with more consistent locks on the eyes. Unfortunately my feeder is in pretty deep shade, so my ISO was up there well beyond where I like it -- and it didn't help it needed another 1/3rd stop boost in post. But the other point of this post is I am also impressed with how well the A7R6 files clean up. A bit of NR feather and wing detail softening, but overall I am happy given the ISO's involved with this particular camera's sensor.
Still learning for sure, but at least now I see some light...
