Thank you all so much! Im half Greek and used to visit Santorini quite often. In my opinion, its the most beautiful place in Greece. Just writing about it gives me goosebumps because the sunsets there are truly magical. You feel an indescribable sense of freedom a feeling Ive rarely experienced so intensely in my life.
This photo is 17 years old, and I dug it out of my archive because it brings back wonderful memories. It was taken with a Canon 8-megapixel camera, but even back then, I always shot these kinds of images as a RAW exposure series. Nowadays, you can turn them into an HDR RAW in Lightroom and bring out so much more detail.
In the coming days, Ill share another photo from Santorini I have quite a few in my archive. I also didnt know that you could actually stay overnight in those windmills! Another beautiful thing about Santorini is that every evening, people gather to celebrate the sunset. When the moment turns magical, everyone applauds. Its an amazing place that embodies everything Greece is about.

Steve, 40 years thats amazing! I can only imagine how peaceful and untouched it must have been back then, probably without all the crowds we see today.
