Just great! The pastels of the water!!

Thank you Dan. I was headed back to my room at the Miramar when I saw him sitting there and I asked if he'd mind a quick snap. Love that little motel right on the beach. I haven't checked yet to see if it weathered the storms.
I am viewing this on a calibrated 30" monitor and the "WoW" factor is off the charts! The colors pop, the connection of the human to a creature with out fear or care!...Heh just dropin' in!

And you reflected in the frame.

Makes me want to go out and buy back a D3 I still have the Nikon 35-105 f3.5-4.5 that I used here. Wonderful old, little lens.
So many strong qualities about this image: the magical colors, the close and comfortable relationship between man and bird, the geometric patterns within the image, the undressed, vacation vibe. Deserving of a frame and placement on your wall.
Congrats on FT Win Gary!
This has to be one of the finest compositions ever! A fun, enjoyable photo! Brightens my day right off the bat!!
Again SUPER!

Really appreciate your kind words Steve. And all that out of a $100 lens
