I'll probably get the 90/4. Hoping for some new E-mount release(s) to emerge after that. Could be room for one more of those later this year.

I think it's time for some new releases for Cosina!
I could see them porting the 90mm APO-Ultron to E/Z/RF next. Maybe a compact 28mm f2.8 too.
On M-mount, they're now missing a 75mm f2, which might leave room for an APO-Ultron or even APO-Lanthar. But they did announce a lot of teles recently, so maybe that's not something for this year.
It would also be amazing if they reworked the 35mm and 50mm APO-Lanthar and made them a bit more compact (more in line with Leica and Light Lens Lab), while retaining their performance.
I'm personally hoping for a 28mm f2.x pair for 40/2 Septon for E-mount and Z-mount as next release. Hoping they would announce it on 10/15 but I don't have any certainty of whether it's coming.
On the APO-Lanthar front I'm quite happy with the already available options for now (I personally have E-mount 28/2, 35/2, 50/2 and VM 50/3.5 & 90/4 and also the Otus ML 35/1.4 & 50/1.4).
Cosina has proven to be unpredictable. Just when we thought we had our best guesses, they released the CV 75/2.8 APO and the CV 90/4 APO, lenses nobody was expecting, at least not at those speeds.

Any word on updated versions of the 35 f/2 and 50 f/2 APO-Lanthars for M mount? I want to repurchase the 50, but it seems like a misfit legacy design with the silver ring.
I know the silver ring gets a lot of online complaints, but personally I like it. It gives a chrome accent to my M cameras, and I prefer it functionally too. As I understand it, the silver finish on brass should hold up better to years of use than a black anodized aluminum filter thread or bayonet, which tends to show wear over time.
I don't see it as a legacy look, but maybe Cosina got tired of the complaints. They seem to have decided to update their lenses by removing the chrome nose, starting with the f/1.2 Noktons and the 28/2 APO. It would make sense for the 35 and 50 APO-Lanthars to follow, but perhaps they're waiting to release an updated design for both Lanthars (hopefully more compact) before retiring the silver ring.

That's kinda what I was wondering regarding possible updated design. I have a collection of almost every lens hood Voigtlander offers, including the one for the 50 APO f/2, so that would cover the silver ring. Would love more compact and closer MFD, though I admit to being disappointed with the 50cm MFD of the 40 f/1.2 II compared to the Z at 30cm and E and RF at 35cm.
