You got some great looks ! These are some of the better images I've seen from the Dam. It's especially nice that you didn't include any power lines
Gary
Gary those dam(sorry for the pun) power lines are a big part of Conowingo!
The eagles sit on them and the huge metal towers that hold the power lines.
Yes it is great to get images w/out them!
Just fyi!!!!

Yeah, I try to avoid the lines as much as possible and they've ruined a few good shots. I could easily remove them in post, but I'm very much a proponent of not using more than lightroom. I also enjoy the challenge of making good images without removing or adding things that were or weren't there. nothing against those who do, its just not my style.

Your philosophy is a great one and very valid David! I try to stay that course but sometimes the distraction is ruining an otherwise, great capture. I then will "improvise, adapt, overcome" as my military training dictates.
Thanks!
Again GREAT images! Now your last one is FANTASTIC and the cables work fine and enhance the image!

Capturing the moment is what it is all about in photography. Photography is often considered lesser art by art purist. Enhancing an image in photography whether sharpening or removing a distraction does not lessen the quality importance of the image.
By chance if one captured an eagle tumbling with a wire, pole, concrete or other man-made structure the shot should stand if all other basics of photography are there. Then it is unique. If such does not add to the image in my opinion the image should be altered or not posted.
These are outstanding. I saw all those FB group images and was wondering can someone capture the eagles beautifully and sure I come to FM forums, I stumble on this thread. Wow!!!
