Thank you Douglas. In the second photo she wanted to stay close and fortunately that 70-200/4 Macro lens has a very short minimum focal lens that allowed me to have her head in focus.
I see what you mean. The dates should be right now. Decades go by so fast. We got Maya on February 18, 2023 at about 2 month and she was born on the first days of December 2022. So end of November 2024 she will be 2 years old. I believe my math is right now

Thank you Dan. Maya has been a great addition to my wife's and my life. Although we have 3 adult children and 4 grand children, all of course out of the house with their own lives, Maya the Beagle was the missing link. Thank you for your kind comments.

Thank you Charles, they are indeed wonderful and express the affection through looks and hugs. They are also very mischievous and as someone who grew up with Beagles, they are in permanent training. We have lots of fun with Maya.
She and her mentor, Eddy, got into trouble on the weekend. They tried to steel food off the kitchen counter during our family dinner and ended up in jail:
