I attended another "Honor" Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery yesterday.
One of the last men that survived and I served with in combat in Vietnam. NOT the headstone posted.....
I saw this headstone as we marched along the burial route behind a caisson and went back after burial was over.
November being Veterans Day month..I felt it to be some what app pro po! Hopefully viewers will see all the "stars" here.
Happy Veterans Day to ALL who served in WHATEVER capacity!
Garryowen!

Appreciate your sentiment Ted!
There is a "star" in almost every line of the headstone.("GS"=gold star=more than 1 award).
Thanks again brother!

Great shot Dan. I am a retired submariner and sometimes teach WWII submarine history. The submarine Navy was a hazardous place to be in WWII and the submarine service saw more than its share of Medal of Honor winners.
They're all gone now unfortunately but shots like this mean they aren't forgotten.
