I’ve been lurking on here for just awhile, but should have been actively posting. I guess no time like the present. And I would say it’s a buy/sell site, as it has a buy/sell section.

Ahh I am running into the same issue. I had heard about this site through a Facebook group and was recommended to sell my gear here. I ended up paying the $29 fee and low and behold, I can't even reply back to people messaging me! Seems like a very tricky sales plot to get people to pay the fee to use the marketplace and zero fineprint or disclosure on limiting messaging and posting. So if I'm reading this correctly, one needs to post 25 times to be able to message

So many suggest buying/selling here, but it's one of the most difficult places to do either. I don't have time to sit and post in a forum a lot, so I have a low post count. I recently replied to a FS ad about a 400 2.8 lens. I've also sent that person a PM. I don't know if he's not replying because he hasn't seen my comment/PM, or if I am being ignored because I have a low post count. I'll probably end up having to buy one off of eBay instead.
