Thanks for sharing the additional samples! I'll link all FM member samples to the front page of the review as soon as I get a chance.
Keep them coming!
Ha, okay. As a first substantive contribution here (after many years of lurking and admiring), some shots with the Color Skopar on my M11-P, from an early morning commute last week:
I've pretty much decided to buy this one as my next new lens (to be used mainly on my Sony A7CII and to accompany my 28/2.8 Color-Skopar), but still waiting through this week to see if Cosina plans to release anything new in September that could alter my plans. Normally they'd announce next month's new releases on 15th of previous month but since 8/15 was during Japanese Obon holiday week, it's possible that they could have delayed any announcements a bit. Or maybe they will take a break from new releases in September since they'll just have completed releasing all lenses that were pre-announced at CP+...
Also, this lens is now backordered in all my favorite Tokyo stores (it seems to be popular) so I need to wait for new stock to arrive. There's only one online store in Osaka that seems to have stock but I'd rather buy from familiar stores in Tokyo. I'm planning to get the black version.
Curious to know what adapter you’d recommend for this lens to be used to Sony E mount bodies?

As for the adapter, my recommendation would be Rayqual M to E-mount adapter for best hard infinity calibration if it's important for you to be able to utilize hard infinity on adapted lenses (Rayqual strives to make their adapters exactly right in terms of thickness, and their build quality is excellent). On the other hand, if you prefer to have a helicoid adapter, I'd recommend CV VM-E close focus adapter version II (about 50g lighter than version I and with longer helicoid extension). Voigtländer adapters are slightly thinner than spec so hard infinity on the lenses will usually be a bit beyond infinity, which is why I prefer Rayqual in general.
Not all lenses have their hard infinity calibration perfectly right but all the recent CV VM lenses that I've bought have been spot-on with my Rayqual adapter....Show more →

When it comes to adapters for the E-mount, I'm currently using the TTArtisan 6-bit Adapter V2. Weighing only 40 grams, this adapter allows you to select the aperture in-camera and the focal length using a dial on the adapter for the EXIF data, which enables auto IBIS. If you 6-bit code the lens, it automatically records the correct focal length from its built-in 6-bit reader, similar to the Leica M to L adapter.
Also, you can fine-tune the infinity focus by removing one or two shims from the back of the adapter. In my case, the infinity focus is perfectly aligned, with no signs of tilt, which indicates good production tolerance.

I was told October last week from MAP
Oh, that's way later than I was expecting. Thanks for the info! In my experience the usual case with popular new CV lenses has been that when they go out of stock soon after launch, next shipments have typically arrived about 1 or 1.5 months later, so I was expecting them to get new supplies within a couple of weeks from now... Maybe Cosina seriously underestimated the demand for this lens or are otherwise fully loaded with some previously planned production runs. Anyway, I'll keep a close eye on all the Tokyo shops.
