A week ago I had the opportunity to visit a Harpy Eagle nest in Colombia and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my career as a nature photographer.
Being able to see this powerful bird at eye level and so close is an unforgettable experience and a dream come true. The photographs were taken with the Sony A1, Sony A7RV, 600mm F4 lens and 1.4 extender.
I will be visiting this nest again in July (11-19), if anyone is interested in knowing more details please DM me.
1 , 4 & 5 are my favorites in this outstanding series Javier, all of them ready to print high quality images. You guys are really upping the ante here lately. Well done!
Eric
Your images are amazing, but I can't help but ask if you have any reservations about being so close to the nest? I don't know the status of the Harpy Eagle in Columbia, but I do know that they are critically endangered in Central America. Do you think repeatedly taking others to the nest is ethical?
