I recently photographed a talented local drag performer known as Kimberly Michelle Westwood, using downtown Portland Oregon as my backdrop. A great way to start off this Pride Season. Lit using all natural light (light reflects off of the buildings surrounding this spot so you can make use of some great available lighting), photographed using a Canon 5D MKIII with a Canon 135mm f/2.8 Soft Focus lens (with soft focus disabled for this shot) set to 1/1250th, f/3.5, ISO 320.

This is not understated in any way. Love the brashness, Daniel!

Oh yes, totally. It wasn't long before we attracted attention and support from patrons of a nearby rooftop bar that had a view from above our shoot location.

Outstanding #1!!! and natural light??!! Wow!!

Thank you so much Dan. I've been working in studio somewhat frequently lately due to necessity, but I will always prefer natural light when given the choice. It's so much easier for me, and honestly I prefer the look.
