UPDATE: It's now been 4 full months since I switched the card to the Lexar Silver Series and I've had no issues with freezing up or anything. Hope this helps if some others are/have been experiencing similar issues.
Well, my live view issue continued to persist and occasionally the LCD would stop functioning all together in any mode. I sent the unit to Leica and I am sad to report it needs $1,355 worth of repairs! It is pristine and has seen very light use, so I'm a bit bummed and perplexed.

Here is the estimate:
repair/replace electronics adjust range finder
check, adjust, clean
Leather covering
Imageelectronic 40MP, complete (DM)
I recall reading somewhere that if the problem is electronics related the body has to be sent to Germany for full diagnosis and repair, so I think this initial NJ estimate assumes all electronic components must be replaced.
Just providing a follow-up to this thread. Leica NJ quoted 8 weeks for repair. It ended up taking between 12-13 weeks. Out-of-box it seems to be back to normal. They replaced the “image electronic board”, did CLA, adjusted the rangefinder, and replaced the leather wrap.
