Anyone remember how soon after release previous Z cameras have been available for purchase at Best Buy? I have over $2k worth of points there from appliance purchases at Pacific Bath that I have no other use for other than a Z6iii.
Sounds like you will get an awesome $500 camera. I would wait whatever it takes for that deal.

$225 + tax to be exact . And yes, I will wait for as long as it takes. Don't see myself buying anything else from BB for the foreseeable future. The good news is that according to rumors Nikon is trying to build enough inventory to avoid wait lists.

I'm curious to see what someone like Gerald Undone reviews it. I like his reviews, pretty thorough and does a decent job of testing dynamic range.
I'm super excited for this release and forgot about it when I woke up
Does nothing to set the world on fire but delivers refinement from its recent predecessors at a great price. Seems like the refresh that was needed for this segment of this market, even if a bit boring.

So 24 MP, not what I wanted personally, but I'm sure it is a great sensor. Partially stacked? Sould like being a a bit pregnant? It is either or, isn't it?
It's a bit of a food belly. Or a false pregnancy. Or kinda like missing your period but not because you're pregnant but maybe due to stress or other factors.

Definitely not boring if you previously owned a Z6. Sorry, there are a lot of people who won’t share your opinion. At a $2,500 price point it’s going to sell very well!
It’s a good camera at a good price and what Nikon needs for the balance sheet. It’s nice to see they didn't hold much back from the ZF/Z8 where they could in the name of market segmentation.
There is nothing about it that pushes it to “instant preorder” status especially with the new Panny existing as a great video-centric body.

I surely won't order one right away, I want to study some more in-depth test about sensor performance in terms of colors, AWB performance, rolling shutter, etc. It sure seems like a class leader at the moment, or at least until a Sony a7V or Canon r6 III comes out.
My main concern is AF performance with critical focus, eye-lash vs pupil focus and all that.
