Thank you for the generous comments. The Point Reyes shot was, indeed, the fog that sometimes envelopes … we had visited the famous tree tunnel 3 earlier times on the same trip. Early morning, late afternoon, golden hour… All were ‘nice’ but one morning it was foggy out and we bolted straight away to the tree tunnel. It did not disappoint. One of the things I learned is that “the whole thing” wasn’t “the” photo for me. I have several dozen frames… all looking one way or the other but all “of the whole thing” with both rows of trees, left and right, as in the typical photo from this location. As I explored the files and rendered monochrome and looked at the texture in the trunks and the leading line that felt stronger in a crop… well, it just took me to this rendering. I learned a good lesson. “The” photo isn’t necessarily “the whole thing” but often within it. Thanks again for the kind words.

Brought to mind the lyric of an ole Beatles song.."There lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon......" The entire song is a great parallel to this "masked bandit."
That adds to an image!
